Job summary

Bethesda Health Group is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team and provide basic nursing care for residents. You will assist in admissions, monitor conditions, and communicate updates to the IDT and families.

Responsibilities include documenting care, implementing interventions, safe medication administration, IV care if certified, and assisting with ADLs in a supportive, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• CPR and AED certification required, or willing to obtain within six months of employment
• IV certification required, or willing to obtain within six months of employment
• Long-term care experience preferred
• Must be able to assess basic nursing care needs of geriatric residents
• Excellent communication skills with residents, visitors and staff

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care and assist in resident assessments on admission and ongoing basis
• Communicate significant changes in condition to the IDT members and families
• Document assessments accurately and timely; aid in care planning process
• Implement nursing interventions per care plan, including orders and education
• Ensure safe medication administration and timely treatments; IV care if certified
• Answer call lights and assist with ADLs; monitor patient status and respond to crises
