Job summary

Bethesda Health Group is seeking a licensed practical nurse to provide basic nursing care for geriatric residents. You will assess residents on admission and ongoing, document findings, and participate in care planning with the IDT and families.

The role requires administering medications and treatments safely, updating plans, and communicating changes via SBAR. Ability to lift and assist with residents is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Current LPN license in the state of employment.
• CPR and AED certification required, or willing to obtain within six months

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care and assess residents on admission and ongoing.
• Update and communicate care plans to IDT members and residents' families.
• Document assessments accurately and timely in the chart/electronic record.
• Administer medications and treatments safely, per orders; IV fluids if IV certified.
• Use SBAR to notify physicians of changes in condition and escalate as needed.
• Assist residents with ADLs and participate in crisis management calmly.
