Job summary

Advocate Health Care seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Carolinas Medical Center – GI/GU: Morehead. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with scheduled hours Monday–Friday, 8:00–4:30, and pay range $24.10–$36.15 per hour.

Responsibilities include patient prep, vital signs, routine nursing tasks, medication administration, IV therapy within scope, and patient education. LPN licensure and BLS are required; no prior experience necessary.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patient for exam; document vitals and health info.
• Perform lab procedures using aseptic technique.
• Assist provider with procedures and surgeries (e.g., pelvic exams).
• Administer medications under orders, including immunizations.
• Initiate and manage IV therapy per scope of practice.
• Provide patient education on care and treatment.
• Coordinate referrals, refills, and follow-up appointments.
