Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time role in the Gastrointestinal Medicine department. Workday Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with optional 4-10 or 4-9 hour shifts after orientation.

You will perform patient prep, lab procedures, assist with procedures, administer medications, and support care coordination under supervision. Requires completion of an accredited LPN program and active LPN license; no prior experience required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Strong organizational skills to manage exam rooms and documentation.
• Proficient in electronic medical records and basic computer tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam and documents vital signs.
• Performs basic laboratory procedures per aseptic technique.
• Assists physicians with procedures and surgeries.
• Administers medications under orders, including IV-related tasks as permitted.
• Provides patient education and coordinates follow-up as needed.
• Communicates with the health care team and documents patient status.
