Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a Full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Gastrointestinal Medicine team. The role involves patient prep, vital signs, basic labs, and assisting physicians with procedures.

You will administer medications under orders and support IV therapy within scope. Eligible candidates have an Accredited Practical Nursing program and an active LPN license with BLS required within 45 days.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 45 days
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and within a care team

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients, obtain vital signs and document health information
• Perform basic laboratory procedures using aseptic technique
• Assist physician with procedures and surgeries
• Administer medications under orders
• Initiate and manage IV therapy within scope
• Educate patients and coordinate referrals
