Carolinas Medical Center, part of Advocate Health, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Internal Medicine Myers Park clinic. The role is full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with benefits eligibility.

Responsibilities include patient prep, basic labs, assisting with procedures, medication administration, and patient education. Requirements include LPN licensure in the state, completion of a practical nursing program, and BLS certification within 45 days.

Qualifications

• LPN license in the state where you practice.
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA) to be obtained within 45 days unless already held.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients for exams, document vital signs and health information.
• Perform basic laboratory procedures and aseptic technique.
• Assist physicians with examinations, procedures and minor surgeries.
• Administer medications under orders, including immunizations and insulin.
• Assist with IV therapy and patient education.
• Coordinate care with the health care team and document patient status.
• Prepare examination rooms, stock supplies, and maintain equipment.
• Demonstrate age-appropriate patient care and adapt to developmental needs.
