Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an LPN for the NT7 Digestive Surgical Unit. The role involves passing medications, administering IV piggybacks, and assisting with assessments and care plans under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include trach care, NG tube care, ostomy care, and patient education. This position offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment and opportunities to collaborate with surgical residents and attendings.

Qualifications

• LPN certification and BLS within 30 days.
• College Diploma: Licensed Practical Nurse (Required).
• Work Experience: LPN >1yr.

Responsibilities

• Passes all medications, hangs IV piggybacks and fluids.
• Charts assessments on assigned patients after RN initial assessment.
• Charts care plans and updates with RN involvement.
• Communicates with physicians/APPs to receive orders and coordinate care.
• Complete trach care and NG tube care and feedings.
• Care for ostomy and reinforce discharge instructions.
