Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced LPN for the NT7 Digestive Surgical Unit. You will administer medications, manage IV piggybacks, and perform trach care and dressing changes under RN supervision. Strong assessment and documentation skills are essential as you coordinate with RNs, physicians, and APPs.

The unit is a 43-bed high-acuity environment with a collaborative culture and ongoing education opportunities. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is available for eligible external applicants.

Qualifications

• LPN with current Illinois license or eligible to practice as LPN.
• Experience administering oral and IV medications in an acute care setting preferred.
• Ability to perform dressing changes and basic wound care.
• Strong documentation and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and manage IV piggyback therapies.
• Assist with care planning after RN assessment and initiate care plans as directed.
• Perform trach care, NG tube care, and feeding as ordered.
• Collaborate with physicians and APPs to coordinate patient care.
