Job summary

Wachter, Inc. is seeking self-motivated Low Voltage Service Technicians for service and installation work at sites across the United States.

You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, with shifts ranging from short 0–4 hours to long 10–14 hours, including mornings, nights, and weekends. Regional travel within 2–4 hours daily is common; longer trips with hotel stays may occur.

Qualifications

• Data Cable Technician with CAT5e, fiber and network experience.
• Industry certifications are a plus.
• Shifts vary daily: some days 0–4 hours, others 10–14 hours, including mornings, nights and weekends.
• Travel regionally within 2–4 hours daily; longer trips with hotel stays may occur.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various cabling infrastructure.
• Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit work.
• Ensure cables are neatly tied and bundled per safety regulations.
• Install cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct.
• Conduct tests to ensure all installed cable systems are operational.
• Troubleshoot issues with the cable network.
