Job summary

Wachter is seeking self-motivated Low Voltage Service Technicians for service work across the United States. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain low voltage cabling in commercial environments, including CAT5e, fiber optic, and network systems.

The role involves variable hours, regional travel within a 2–4 hour radius daily, occasional overnight stays, and potential weekend shifts depending on customer needs. Wachter offers a robust benefits package and career growth.

Qualifications

• Data cable technician with CAT5e and fiber optic experience.
• Industry certifications (BICSI, Systimax, Panduit, Beldon, Corning) are a huge plus.
• Shifts vary daily; some days 0–4 hours, others 10–14 hours; may include mornings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain cabling infrastructure.
• Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings; drilling concrete walls and limited conduit work.
• Ensure cables are neatly tied and bundled per safety regulations.
• Install cable support structures (j-hooks, cable racks, innerduct).
• Test newly installed cable systems and components; troubleshoot issues.
