Job summary

Wachter, Inc. is seeking self-motivated Low Voltage Service Technicians for service work across the United States. You will install, troubleshoot and maintain low voltage cabling and related systems in commercial buildings, often in cramped spaces.

Shifts vary daily—from short to long hours—with on-call, weekends, and regional travel within a 2–4 hour radius; occasional overnight stays may be required. A valid driver's license is required. Wachter offers competitive pay and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Data Cable Technician with CAT5e, fiber optic, and network experience.
• Industry-specific certifications (BICSI, Systimax, Panduit, Belden, Corning) are a huge plus.
• Shifts vary daily; some days 0–4 hours, others 10–14 hours; weekends, early mornings, and nights possible.
• Flexible and willing to work on-call, travel within a 2–4 hour radius; overnight stays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of low voltage cabling infrastructure.
• Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings; drill concrete walls and limited conduit work.
• Ensure cables are neatly tied and bundled per safety regulations.
• Install cable support structures (j-hooks, cable racks, innerduct).
• Test newly installed cable systems and devices to ensure operation.
• Troubleshoot cable network issues.
