Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced field inspector to conduct routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on electrical, sprinkler or life safety product lines. The role involves working with low voltage wiring, inputting data via mobile devices, and performing minor repairs or programming changes as needed.

The position requires 3–4 years of relevant experience, a MASS Class D license, and the ability to follow precise instructions while adhering to safety

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems and Fire and/or Life Safety Systems.
• MASS Class D license
• Demonstrates an aptitude for troubleshooting systems.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Capable of performing physical labor up to 50-70 lbs.
• Able to obtain and retain licenses required by National, State and Local codes.

Responsibilities

• Inspect low voltage electrical, sprinkler or suppression life safety product lines and similar competitive products.
• Perform service, testing, and preventative maintenance.
• Work with a highly structured inspection schedule.
• Input, retrieve and archive inspection documents via laptop or mobile device.
• Make minor repairs and programming changes to systems being inspected.
• Provide technical training to less senior inspectors and trainees.
• Complete assigned inspections on time.
