Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Inspector to conduct routine inspections and testing of low voltage electrical systems, sprinklers and life-safety product lines. The role involves wiring work, documentation and occasional repairs.

Candidates should have 3–4 years of experience with low voltage systems and hold NICET certification. Flexibility for weekends and physical work is required; driving may be necessary in this field.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems and Fire/Life Safety Systems.
• Aptitude for troubleshooting systems.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Able to lift up to 50–70 lbs and work in tight/quasi-vertical spaces.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical, sprinkler or suppression life safety product lines through routine inspections and testing.
• Input, retrieve and archive inspection documents via laptop or mobile device.
• Perform minor repairs and programming changes on systems being inspected.
• Provide technical training to less senior inspectors and trainees.
• Complete inspections on time and adhere to safety guidelines.
