Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced field inspector to conduct routine inspections, testing and maintenance on low voltage electrical and life-safety product lines. You will work with low voltage wiring, complete service acknowledgements, and maintain inspection schedules.

The role requires 3-4 years of relevant experience, the ability to lift up to 50-70 lbs, and a valid driver’s license. Flexible hours including weekends may be required, with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems and Fire and/or Life Safety Systems.
• Aptitude for troubleshooting systems and ability to follow instructions.
• Physically able to carry 50-70 lbs and work in ladders, scaffolding, ducts or crawl spaces.
• Valid driver's license with appropriate driving record.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, service and perform preventative maintenance on low voltage electrical, sprinkler or suppression life-safety product lines.
• Complete service acknowledgements with proper coding via laptop or paper records.
• Input, retrieve and archive inspection documents; perform minor repairs and programming changes.
