Job summary

Johnson Controls, a global leader in life safety and building systems, is seeking an experienced inspector to meet customer expectations through high-quality inspections of life safety product lines and related equipment.

The role involves performing routine inspections, testing, servicing, installing, and preventative maintenance; working with low voltage wiring; and completing documentation with laptops, while adhering to schedules and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

5–10 years of sprinkler system experience.
Able to obtain and retain licenses required by codes.
Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs and manuals.
Experience with hand tools and multimeter usage.
Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge and foam systems.
Able to travel and perform physical labor up to 50-70 lbs.
Strong troubleshooting skills and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, installing and preventative maintenance of life safety product lines and related equipment.
Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices for operation of low voltage equipment.
Complete service acknowledgements with proper coding via laptops or hard copy.
Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule.
