Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking an Estimator – Low Voltage to prepare bid documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects. You will control project costs by evaluating bid specs and drawings, collecting data, and generating accurate takeoffs for competitive bids.

The role requires 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction, preferably with low voltage systems. Proficiency in Trimble Accubid Anywhere and CAD/3D tools is a plus, with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience estimating commercial construction projects, preferably in low voltage systems & structured cabling installation & construction.
• Experience in Trimble Accubid Anywhere estimating software preferred.
• Experience in CAD or 3D software a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work and enter into estimating system; review for accuracy.
• Request quotes from suppliers for equipment and materials.
• Identify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and solicit quotes; review quotes for completeness with plans and specifications.
• Provide detailed scope, technical requirements, and pricing reviews for the bid package.
