Job Summary

We are seeking a Low Voltage Estimator / Project Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Omaha, NE. This onsite role is a strong fit for a project management professional with experience in low voltage, structured cabling, communications, security, AV, or related technology systems who is ready to take ownership of projects from estimate through closeout.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage low voltage projects from estimating, bidding, and proposal development through project completion.
• Prepare accurate material and labor takeoffs, project estimates, bids, and cost proposals.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to support successful project execution.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, materials, documentation, change orders, and closeout activities.
• Monitor project profitability, support sales objectives, and build strong customer and vendor relationships.

Compensation and Benefits

• Direct hire opportunity.
• Salary range of $75,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Manage low voltage projects from proposal and estimating through completion.
• Develop project estimates, bids, material takeoffs, labor takeoffs, and cost proposals.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, resources, documentation, change orders, and closeout.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Approximately 5+ years of experience in low voltage estimating, project management, or a combination of both.
• Strong project management experience in low voltage, communications, security, structured cabling, AV, or related technology systems.
• Ability and willingness to learn estimating responsibilities if coming primarily from a project management background.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, project documentation, and scope requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, budgets, materials, and resources.
• Excellent communication, organization, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• RCDD certification preferred, or willingness to obtain RCDD certification within one year if not currently certified.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Accubid estimating software.
• RCDD certification.
• CommScope, Axis, or other manufacturer-specific certifications.
• Experience supporting business development, sales goals, or project-based customer growth.
• Background managing profitable low voltage projects from estimate through closeout.
