Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Chatsworth, CA. This role is ideal for an experienced electrical construction leader who can manage complex commercial, industrial, institutional, or public works projects from pre-construction through closeout. The Senior Electrical Project Manager will oversee planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, field coordination, contract administration, client communication, and financial performance. Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple electrical construction projects simultaneously from startup through completion and closeout.
• Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, cost reports, and monthly financial projections.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, owners, general contractors, consultants, vendors, subcontractors, engineers, and field personnel.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, procurement, long-lead items, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Monitor safety, quality, productivity, schedule performance, profitability, contract compliance, and risk throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead project closeout activities, including punch lists, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranty documentation, and final client acceptance.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Manage electrical construction projects across planning, execution, scheduling, procurement, financial controls, and closeout.
• Lead project budgets, forecasts, cost tracking, change orders, contract administration, and profitability management.
• Coordinate with clients, field supervision, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, general contractors, and internal leadership.
• Support safe, code-compliant, high-quality electrical installations through field coordination and project oversight.
• 8+ years of electrical construction project management experience required, with senior-level experience preferred.
• Experience managing commercial, industrial, institutional, or public works electrical construction projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction practices, jobsite coordination, and project sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, contracts, scopes of work, and project documentation.
• Proven experience with budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, job cost tracking, procurement, and contract administration.
• Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong financial management, cost-control, negotiation, and change order management skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organization, problem-solving, and client relationship skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements, safety practices, quality standards, and applicable codes.
• Ability to visit active construction sites, walk jobsite areas, climb ladders, inspect work, occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, and travel to project locations as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading complex industrial facilities or infrastructure-related electrical construction projects.
• Prior experience mentoring project engineers, foremen, superintendents, or junior project management staff.
• Strong background managing long-lead procurement, labor productivity, claims avoidance, risk mitigation, and project profitability.
• Demonstrated history of building repeat client relationships and achieving high customer satisfaction.
