Job summary

Next Level Technician is seeking a Low Voltage Technician in Oklahoma City, OK to install and maintain structured cabling systems for commercial sites. You will pull, route, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cables, install racks and patch panels, and support related low-voltage systems while following safety standards.

The role requires reading blueprints, testing with Fluke testers, and traveling to job sites across Oklahoma.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of commercial/industrial low-voltage experience.
  • Strong structured cabling and voice/data experience.
  • Fiber optic cabling experience preferred.
  • Experience with security systems, CCTV, access control, or wireless systems is a plus.

  • Pull, terminate, and support fiber optic cabling.
  • Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, and other cable pathways.
  • Test and certify installed cabling using Fluke or similar testers.
  • Troubleshoot cabling issues and correct failed tests.
  • Label cables and ports according to TIA standards and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Pull, route, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6/CAT6A copper cable
  • Pull, terminate, and support fiber optic cabling
  • Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, and other cable pathways
  • Test and certify installed cabling using Fluke or similar testers
  • Troubleshoot cabling issues and correct failed tests
  • Label cables and ports according to TIA standards and maintain accurate documentation
  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and project specifications
  • Install and support related low-voltage systems, including wireless access points, cameras, and access control
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
  • Follow OSHA and NEC safety requirements
Requirements
  • 2+ years of commercial/industrial low-voltage experience
  • Strong structured cabling and voice/data experience
  • Experience with fiber optic cabling is preferred
  • Experience with security systems, CCTV, access control, or wireless systems is a plus
  • Ability to read blueprints and follow project specifications
  • Comfortable working on ladders and lifts and at heights
  • BICSI, OSHA, and lift certifications are a plus
  • Must have basic hand tools and required PPE
  • Working knowledge of telecommunications and data networks
  • Willingness to travel to job sites throughout Oklahoma as needed
