Job summary

Next Level Technician in Kings Point, NY is seeking a Low Voltage Cable Technician to install and test data-center cabling and equipment. Earn $25-$35/hr with weekly pay, and enjoy PTO and medical benefits as part of a steady, national workload.

Qualifications

  • 1-5+ years of hands-on experience in commercial or data center environments.
  • Proven experience with structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6 required; fiber experience preferred).
  • Experience with terminations, testing, and troubleshooting is a plus.
  • Familiarity with telecom and data network infrastructure.
  • BICSI, OSHA, or Lift certifications are a plus.
  • Must have basic hand tools and required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel toe boots).

  • Terminate and test copper and fiber connections, including LC and MPO connectors.
  • Dress and organize cables using proper wire management, including cable trays and ladder racks.
  • Rack and stack network switches, servers, and other hardware.
  • Accurately label cables and components to maintain clean documentation.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and network diagrams.
  • Ensure all work meets industry standards for quality, reliability, and safety.
  • Work independently or lead small crews depending on experience level.
