The South Dakota Lottery, part of the Department of Revenue, is seeking a professional sales staff member to support retailers and customers in Rapid City and western South Dakota. The role covers office and route duties, from delivering tickets to merchandising and cash handling, with occasional travel for events.

Working hours are typically 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional longer days during promotions.

Responsabilidades

The South Dakota Lottery is looking for a professional sales staff individual who is a team player to work with our Retailer partners and customers in our Rapid City office!

The position involves both office and route responsibilities. The route work covers assigned retailers in Rapid City and western South Dakota. Office responsibilities involve processing claims, selling and cashing tickets, and reconciling the Rapid City daily cash drawer. There is also occasional travel to work events, promotional activities and meetings. Work week Mon - Fri 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, with occasional shift accommodations, when working promotions, longer days etc.

Position Purpose: Be a liaison between the retailers, players and the SD Lottery. Responsibilities include establishing new lottery retail accounts and maintaining already established accounts in a defined route area, through training and instruction of the lottery rules and regulations. Responsible for delivering instant tickets and supplies, merchandising and returning instant tickets, deploying point of sale materials for instant and lotto games, while providing the best customer service possible. Weekly monitoring of all retailers to ensure scratch tickets are received, stored, and sold in a secure manner. Play an important role in keeping the Rapid City Validation Center running accurately and efficiently. Training and informing the lottery retailers and players is a very important part of this position.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• experience working in collaborative team environments and demonstrating effective time management and organization;
• possess or be able to obtain a valid South Dakota drivers' license and have a good driving record;

This position is exempt from the Civil Service Act.
