Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Lot Operations Specialist II to organize vehicle flow and staging within the designated area. The role involves daily decision-making using dashboards, coordinating with leaders to ensure safety and efficiency, and maintaining accurate vehicle labeling and movement across shifts.

Two shifts are available: Monday–Friday 7a–4p and Tuesday–Saturday 7a–4p. Requires HS diploma and valid driver's license; experience in lot operations preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 3 years’ related field experience OR 5 years’ related field experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to operate vehicles with both manual and automatic transmissions.
• Basic mechanical knowledge (tires, fuel, jump-starts).

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain vehicle placement within designated zone or move area per lead instructions.
• Use Supervisor and Lot Ops dashboards to make move decisions daily.
• Drive safety, efficiency, and environmental standards within assigned zone.
• Move and stage vehicles to proper destinations to minimize drops and maximize loads.
• Confirm vehicles are operable; coordinate with service and tow teams when needed.
• Label vehicles with sale and routing labels to track movements.
• Communicate inventory status and priorities with crew leaders and managers.
• Model Cox/Manheim values and ensure respectful treatment of all employees.
• Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
