Job summary

Cox Automotive USA is hiring for a Lot Operations Specialist II at a Cox location in the United States. The role involves organizing vehicle placement, staging and directing daily move decisions to optimize loads while following safety and policy guidelines.

You will work two shifts (two openings) with day hours, and be responsible for safety, labeling, and communications with team leads to maintain efficient operations in the lot.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field, or alternative combinations including higher degree/certification; or 5 years' experience in a related field.
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Basic mechanical knowledge of identifying issues (flat tires, low gas, jump-starting vehicles).

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain vehicle placement within the designated zone or move area to the standard defined by lot operations leadership.
• Daily use of Supervisor and Lot Ops dashboards to decide moves and stage zones.
• Contribute to safety and efficiency improvements in vehicle movement.
• Move vehicles and stage them for proper work destinations to optimize loads.
• Ensure vehicles can operate safely and engage service/tow teams for inoperable units.
• Label vehicles with sale and routing labels to track movements.
• Communicate inventory status to crew leaders and managers, prioritizing tasks.
• Model Cox/Manheim values and ensure respectful treatment of all employees.
• Follow all company policies and health/safety directives; be a visible safety advocate.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
