Job summary

Cox Automotive USA is hiring a Lot Operations Specialist II to keep vehicles organized within the assigned area and move them per daily directions. The role is on-site with a day shift and involves coordinating with supervisors to prioritize vehicle movement and ensure safety.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED with relevant experience, plus a valid driver's license and basic mechanical/tech skills.

Qualifications

HS diploma/GED with 3 years related work experience, or higher degree with 1 year related experience, or 5 years related experience.
Valid driver’s license is required.
Basic mechanical skills such as jump starting a car, adding air to a tire, and identifying fuel level.
Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles; basic tech skills (Outlook, mobile devices, two-way radios).

Responsibilities

Keep vehicles organized and parked in the assigned area.
Review daily work information to determine vehicles to move and where to place them.
Suggest safer/more efficient ways to move and organize vehicles.
Move vehicles to correct locations so work can be completed efficiently.
Check that vehicles can be driven and report undrivable ones for service or towing.
Apply sale and routing labels for easy identification.
Communicate with supervisors about inventory levels and movement priorities.
Follow all Cox policies and safety rules; maintain professional conduct.
