Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Lead at our Crestwood, IL location. You will mitigate theft and fraud in high-risk areas while promoting a safe and welcoming store environment for customers and associates.

You will train and develop Shortage Control Associates, identify theft indicators, and support leadership with audits, inventory, and loss-prevention initiatives. Flexible schedule required, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to deter theft and uphold a safe store environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide an effective deterrent to dishonest behaviors by displaying a commanding presence and following the store dress code.
• Maintain a safe and secure store for customers and associates with strong attention to detail and clear communication.
• Engage with customers and associates in high-risk areas to promote prevention and strong service.
• Demonstrate knowledge of shortage areas and programs to identify and reduce theft.
• Document indicators of external theft and coordinate with store leadership and law enforcement as needed.
• Assist in internal controls, audits of the store, and promoting Asset Protection programs.
• Lead onboarding and ongoing training for shortage reduction processes.
