Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Loss Prevention Specialist to maintain a safe and secure store environment.

You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and deter theft while collaborating with Store Leadership to follow policy and protect the Ross treasure. In this role you will participate in training, communicate effectively with teammates, and support prevention initiatives in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including background screening.

Responsibilities

• Provides visible command presence at store entrances/exits.
• Removes clutter and ensures safe egress to emergency exits.
• Monitors for potential safety issues.
• Greet Customers, answer questions, and assist on the sales floor.
• Participates in Loss Prevention initiatives.
• Trains and educates Associates on shortage reduction.
• Adheres to company policy during external theft response.
• Maximizes productivity by efficient steps.
