Burlington Stores in Roseville, MI is seeking a Shortage Control Lead to mitigate theft and fraud in high-risk areas while promoting a safe, secure store environment. You will engage with customers and associates with a strong, energetic presence and lead the Shortage Control team.

The role partners with store and field leadership, supporting training, audits, and action plans to reduce shortage. You will monitor assets, conduct bag checks and POS oversight, and participate in annual inventory

Responsibilities

• Provide an effective deterrent to dishonest behaviors through role modeling and attention to dress code and demeanor.
• Maintain a safe, secure store with strong attention to detail and multi-tasking.
• Engage with customers and associates to promote best-in-class service in high-risk areas.
• Display knowledge of shortage areas and support programs to reduce theft.
• Gather and document indicators of external theft and coordinate with local law enforcement as needed.
• Assist store manager with internal controls, audits, and asset protection programs.
• Lead onboarding and ongoing training in shortage reduction programs.
• Assist with semi-annual inventory planning and action plans to reduce shortage.
• Model safety-focused behaviors.
• Manage stressful situations and address unsafe practices promptly.
• Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays.
