Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Lead to mitigate theft and fraud in high-risk areas while promoting a safe store environment. You will engage customers and associates with our core values through a strong greeting and eye contact.

The role partners with store leadership to train associates, identify theft incidents, and drive shortage education. A flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience in loss prevention or store security is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide an effective deterrent to dishonest behaviors throughout the store by demonstrating a command presence and professional demeanor.
• Maintain a safe and secure store for customers and associates with strong attention to detail and communication.
• Enthusiastically engage with customers and associates in high-risk areas to promote a positive impression of control and service.
• Display knowledge of top shortage areas and support programs to identify and reduce theft.
• Gather and document indicators of external theft and assist in collaboration with leadership and law enforcement as needed.
• Support store manager with internal controls and operational oversight including audits and security programs.
• Lead onboarding and ongoing training of associates in shortage reduction programs.
• Assist in preparing and executing the semi-annual inventory and develop action plans to cut shortage.
• Model safety-focused behaviors and stay disciplined under pressure.
