Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will stand at store entrances, monitor high-risk areas, greet customers with a warm, energetic welcome, and support theft reduction programs. The role requires 1+ years in customer service or similar, ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and holidays, and strong communication with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and visually monitor store environment.
• Excellent communication with customers and coworkers.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm smile and loud, friendly greeting.
• Monitor front of the store and reduce opportunities for theft.
• Conduct bag and package checks on store and corporate associates, ensuring safety standards.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious subjects to the Manager on Duty.
