Burlington Stores, Inc. is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will monitor entrances/exits, greet customers, and assist with shortage reduction programs, reporting theft incidents and staying compliant with safety standards. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced setting, stand for long periods, and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and to visually monitor store environment.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
• Ability to review, analyze and comprehend business trends and respond accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances, exits and high-risk areas to deter theft.
• Greet customers with a warm, confident, and energetic greeting.
• Conduct bag and package checks per safety and security standards.
• Identify and report theft incidents and suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Support training of associates on shortage reduction programs.
