Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to deter theft and help create a safe shopping environment. You will greet customers warmly, monitor entrances and high-risk areas, and report any theft incidents to the Manager on Duty.

The role emphasizes professionalism, security awareness, and adherence to store procedures. Ideal candidates have 1+ years of experience in customer service or related fields, are able to stand for long periods, and perform in a fast-paced setting

Qualifications

1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment.
Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment with detailed focus and disciplined decision making.

Responsibilities

Monitor store entrances/exits and high-risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
Greet every customer with a warm smile and energetic greeting; maintain professional appearance.
Identify and report theft incidents and suspicious subjects to the Manager on Duty.
Conduct bag and package checks on store and corporate associates in accordance with safety standards.
