Job summary

ShopRite Clinton is seeking a Store Detective to safeguard assets and provide a safe shopping environment. You will detect theft, assist customers, and work with store personnel to minimize loss while maintaining a high standard of service.

The role requires vigilant observation, teamwork, and the ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, while complying with safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English fluently.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to travel to other store locations if applicable.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to adhere to schedules and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Loss Prevention reporting tools to identify and minimize potential loss and shrink.
• Detect and apprehend customers, associates, and vendors for theft following policy and legal requirements.
• Represent the company in criminal actions resulting from apprehensions.
• Coordinate activities to obtain maximum productivity and efficiency.
• Maintain security of doors, entrances, and store areas.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Maintain a clean, neat, safe work/shopping environment.
• Observe store rules and Company policies.
