Job summary

ShopRite is seeking a Store Detective to ensure a safe shopping environment and protect store assets through surveillance and observed losses. You will detect theft and support investigations across assigned locations, delivering dependable service to customers and associates.

The position requires physical stamina, ability to work varied schedules, and effective communication with Store Management and customers. Training and safety policies are emphasized throughout the role.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English clearly.
• Ability to stand/walk for shift duration.
• Lift 25–50 lbs occasionally, 25 lbs routinely.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments.
• Travel to store locations if needed.

Responsibilities

• Use loss prevention systems to minimize shrink.
• Detain suspects in a professional manner per policy.
• Represent company in investigations and audits.
• Identify vulnerabilities; communicate with management.
• Maintain security and cleanliness of the store environment.
