Job summary

ShopRite of New Milford is hiring a Store Detective to protect assets and provide a safe customer experience. You will detect theft, interact with customers, and coordinate with store leadership to minimize loss.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret and understand English.
• Stand and walk for entire shift.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs and occasionally 50 lbs.
• May rotate through heat, cold, and dusty environments.
• Ability to travel to various store locations as needed.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Cooperate with others and adhere to schedules.

Responsibilities

• Use loss prevention tools to identify and minimize shrink.
• Detect and apprehend individuals for theft in a professional manner according to policy and law.
• Represent the company in criminal actions related to apprehensions.
• Participate in investigations as assigned.
• Report vulnerabilities to Store Management and Loss Prevention Specialist.
