Job summary

ShopRite of Shrewsbury is seeking a Store Detective to protect store assets and provide a safe shopping environment. The role involves detecting theft, using loss prevention tools, and working closely with store management.

Responsibilities include apprehending individuals when necessary, participating in investigations, and maintaining high standards of customer service and safety. This full-time position requires flexibility and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English fluently and analyze information.
• Stand/walk for entire shift.
• Lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Travel to various store locations if applicable.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.

Responsibilities

• Use LP systems to identify and minimize loss and shrink.
• Detect and apprehend theft professionally according to policy.
• Represent the company in criminal actions following apprehensions.
• Participate in special investigations when assigned.
• Communicate loss vulnerabilities to store management and LP Specialist.
• Maintain security standards and report abnormal behavior to management.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work/shopping environment.
