Job summary

Burlington Stores is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced setting. You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and work with store leadership to identify theft risks and enforce safety standards.

The role requires 1+ years in customer service or asset protection, the ability to stand for long periods, and flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional appearance at all times, standing at the front of the store and staying vigilant.
• Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm smile and friendly greeting.
• Create a secure environment and reduce opportunities for theft.
• Know top shortage areas and programs aimed at theft reduction.
• Conduct bag and package checks on store and corporate associates per safety standards.
• Provide training support on shortage reduction programs.
• Model safety as a top priority and address unsafe practices promptly.
