Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to maintain a safe, secure environment at store entrances and throughout the sales floor.

The role focuses on deterring theft, enforcing code 50 procedures, and partnering with Store Leadership. The position requires at least one year of retail supervisor experience or training, loss prevention background, and strong communication skills; a Security Guard License is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including but not limited to, additional background screening, physical examination, fingerprinting and/or drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Mitigates theft and fraud by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
• Greets customers with a visible presence at entrances/exits and on the floor.
• Walks the sales floor to identify theft indicators and address safety issues.
• Partners with Store Leadership to ensure compliance with Loss Prevention directives.
• Maintains Ross brand standards through professional appearance and behavior.
• Monitors for safety issues and communicates with leadership.
• Trains and educates Associates on shortage reduction initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned to support Loss Prevention initiatives.
