Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to maintain a safe store environment, deter theft, and support the store leadership team.

The role emphasizes visible presence at entrances, engagement with customers, and collaboration with associates to minimize shortages. Responsibilities include addressing potential security issues, enforcing Code 50 policy, and upholding company standards while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including but not limited to, additional background screening, physical examination, fingerprinting and/or drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Provides visible command presence at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Monitors for potential theft indicators and follows Loss Prevention directives.
• Maintains safety and security in partnership with Store Leadership.
• Trains and Educates Associates on shortage reduction initiatives.
• Represents the Ross brand with professional appearance and conduct.
