Job summary

Burlington is seeking a part-time Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment through vigilant monitoring of entrances, exits, and high-risk areas. You will engage customers with a confident, friendly greeting while supporting shortage reduction programs and reporting incidents to the Manager on Duty.

You should have 1+ years in customer service or retail and be able to work in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
• Ability to review, analyze and comprehend business trends.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.
• Excellent leadership skills that support fostering productive business relationships.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and exits to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet every customer entering or exiting with a warm smile and friendly greeting.
• Identify and report theft incidents and/or suspicious subject(s) to the Manager on Duty.
• Support and train associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress standards; collaborate with store leadership.
