Job summary

Burlington is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment and deliver excellent customer service. You will stand at store entrances, greet customers, monitor for theft, and report incidents to the Manager on Duty.

The role supports shortage reduction efforts and may involve training teammates on safety programs. Part-time position with an associate discount, benefits eligibility for some hours, and opportunities for development within a rapidly growing brand.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor the store environment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to educate associates on shortage reduction.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and high‑risk areas to deter theft.
• Greet every customer entering or exiting with a warm, energetic greeting.
• Identify and report theft incidents to the Manager on Duty.
• Conduct bag and package checks in accordance with safety standards.
• Assist in training associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
