Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to help support a secure shopping environment and deliver outstanding customer service.

You will monitor entrances/exits, greet customers with a friendly, energetic greeting, and apply shortage reduction programs while assisting store leadership with reporting theft or suspicious activity. The role requires the ability to stand for long periods, work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor store environment.
• Excellent communication with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vigilance at store entrance and high risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet customers with a warm, energetic greeting and clear communication.
• Identify theft incidents or suspicious activity and report to Manager on Duty.
• Support training of associates on shortage reduction programs and safety practices.
