Fred Meyer, Inc. is seeking a loss prevention professional to prevent and reduce loss due to bad debt, cash over/short and civil liabilities while upholding corporate policies and state and federal laws.

Based in the Portland area, the role involves protecting assets, deterring theft, and maintaining security across stores in the Kroger family. Strong attention to detail and ability to respond to incidents are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures and organizational structure.
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills.
• Familiarity with loss prevention terms and processes.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to organize/prioritize tasks/projects.
• Detect, deter and/or detain external theft suspects.

Responsibilities

• Monitor large shrink areas in stores.
• Report incidents to the asset protection manager.
• Support customer and associate relations through communication and training.
• Provide credible court testimony.
• Identify areas of high theft.
• Promote and follow company initiatives.
• Maintain flexibility to work any shift, overtime and weekends.
