Based in Portland, OR, the role involves monitoring for shrink, deterring theft, reporting incidents, and supporting efforts across multiple stores in the Kroger family. The position requires attention to detail, discretion with sensitive information, and flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime and weekends.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures and organizational structure.
• Retail security experience.
• Law enforcement experience.
• Minimum 18 years of age/21 years of age in Alaska.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to handle sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality.
• Ability to organize/prioritize tasks/projects.
• Familiarity with loss prevention terms and processes.
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor large shrink areas in stores.
• Report incidents to the asset protection manager.
• Provide credible court testimony.
• Identify areas of high theft.
• Promote and follow company initiatives.
• Maintain flexibility to work any shift, overtime and weekends on a regular basis.

Education

Bachelors degree in criminal justice

High school diploma or GED
