Job summary

Prudential Financial seeks an experienced Disability Claims Specialist to serve as a Long Term Disability technical expert. You will guide claim professionals, coach on complex matters, and support decision quality while ownership remains with the claim professional.

Responsibilities include providing technical guidance on policy interpretation, medical and vocational considerations, and claim strategy, along with training and trend analysis to strengthen block health.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Long-Term Disability claim management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Long-Term Disability policy provisions, medical and vocational considerations.
• Proven ability to independently analyze complex or high-risk claim scenarios and recommend sound strategies.
• Demonstrated success coaching claim professionals and providing actionable feedback.
• Ability to interpret claim data, inventory indicators, and activity trends to identify risks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Long Term Disability technical expert to the Team Lead and claim professionals on complex management matters.
• Provide technical guidance on policy interpretation, medical/vocational considerations, claim strategy, and benefit eligibility.
• Coach claim professionals through complex scenarios to strengthen critical thinking and consistency.
• Provide timely, actionable feedback to improve technical capability and decision quality.
• Analyze claim activity to identify trends, risks, and coaching opportunities.
• Partner with the Team Lead to monitor claim block health and prioritize actions.
• Support development and delivery of technical training for claim professionals.
