Job summary

Prudential Financial is seeking a Disability Claims Specialist within the Long-Term Disability Core Team. This role focuses on applying deep claim management expertise to guide professionals, support the Team Lead, and ensure high-quality outcomes.

You will provide technical training and escalate complex matters as needed. Key responsibilities include coaching, policy interpretation guidance, and analyzing trends to improve claim block health.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of Long-Term Disability claim management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Long-Term Disability policy provisions, medical and vocational considerations.
• Proven ability to independently analyze complex or high-risk claim scenarios and recommend sound strategies.
• Experience coaching claim professionals and providing actionable feedback.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Long Term Disability technical expert for the Team Lead and claim professionals on complex matters.
• Provide guidance on policy interpretation, medical and vocational considerations, claim strategy and eligibility.
• Coach professionals through complex claim scenarios to strengthen thinking and decision quality.
• Provide timely feedback to improve execution and claim quality and block health.
• Analyze claim activity to identify trends, risks, and coaching opportunities.
• Monitor claim block health by analyzing inventory and performance indicators and prioritizing actions.
