Job summary

UHC United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care guided by assessment and care plans.

Requires high school diploma or equivalent, CNA certification, WV Nurse's Aide Certification, background check, and BLS within 30 days. Preferred 1 year of long-term care experience. 36 hours per week, non-exempt.

You will document flows, monitor vitals, assist with ADLs, feeding, and turning, and report incidents across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CNA certification and WV Nurse's Aide Certification.
• Background check and BLS within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred 1 year CNA experience in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Record entries on flow sheets and notes per procedures.
• Measure and record temperatures, pulse, and respirations.
• Provide age-appropriate care for adults/geriatric patients.
• Use vital signs equipment, bladder scanner, CPM, and other devices.
• Assist with ADLs, hygiene, feeding, and mobility as directed.
• Turn and position bedfast patients every 2 hours and assist with bowel/bladder care.
• Report abuse, accidents, and incidents per policy.
• Assist with ambulation and rehab activities as instructed.
