Job summary

WH Wheeling Hospital Inc. is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care in accordance with assessments, plans of care, and supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CNA certification (or eligibility within 3 months), and BLS within 30 days. The caregiver will record vitals, assist with ADLs, feeding, and mobility while maintaining patient dignity and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA certification or eligibility within 3 months of hire.
• WV CNA certification through WV Department of Health and Human Resources required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Record entries on flow sheets, notes, charts per policy and keep them accurate.
• Measure and record temperature, pulse, and respirations per policy.
• Provide care based on age-specific standards for adults and geriatric patients.
• Assist with ADLs, hygiene, feeding, and personal care.
• Assist with ambulation, positioning, and transfer using proper body mechanics.
• Respond to call bells promptly and document actions.
