Responsibilities

• Assist the RN with admission, transfer, discharge, and general patient care duties.
• Record vital signs, assist with hygiene and comfort, and monitor intake/output.
• Assist in specimen collection and other assigned tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment to prevent infections and protect staff and patients.
• Report equipment issues to the appropriate personnel promptly.
• Prepare patients for examinations and diagnostic procedures.
• Communicate nutrition issues to the RN and support diet changes.
• Assist department with administrative tasks and answer call bells.
