Job summary

Sysco is seeking a long-haul driver to safely transport products from the warehouse to customer locations, following company standards and customer invoices. The role involves trips to PA, FL, OH, and other states, often 2–3 days out. A CDL and insurability are required, with overtime and overnight schedules possible.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, a tractor-trailer driving program or equivalent, and the ability to communicate effectively. An incentive plan may be available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent; 1 year tractor-trailer driving experience preferred
• Completion of tractor-trailer driving school accepted in lieu of diploma
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required
• Must be insurable to operate a vehicle
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, hazmat guidelines, and safe lifting/delivery practices
• Ability to drive over long distances and communicate with customers; solve problems

Responsibilities

• Safely transports product from warehouse to customer using tractor-trailer; adheres to routes and delivery specifications
• Completes all required paperwork in compliance with DOT and company guidelines
• Maintains safety and food safety protocols during delivery
• Reports any route, trailer, or loading issues to management promptly
• Operates equipment and communicates with customers to ensure courteous service
• Maintains regular attendance and works outside usual hours as needed to meet customer needs
