Job summary

Sysco is seeking a long-haul truck driver to safely transport product from our warehouse to customer locations, following invoices and company standards. The role requires operating a tractor-trailer across long distances, including overnight trips to PA, FL, OH, and other states, with 2–3 days away from home at a time.

Qualified candidates will have a valid Class A CDL and at least 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience or completion of a tractor-trailer driving school.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; plus 1 year tractor-trailer driving experience preferred.
• Completion of tractor-trailer driving school accepted in lieu of, or in addition to, high school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports product from warehouse to customer location according to route and invoices.
• Complete DOT logs, inspections, and trip reports accurately and timely.
• Ensure food safety protocols and proper temperatures are maintained in delivery vehicle.
• Communicate deviations to route, trailer, loading or product issues to management.
• Operate equipment including 3-axle tractor, 45–48 ft trailer, and onboard computer.
• Build good relationships with customers through courteous service and clear communication.
